Roswitha Wilner


Roswitha was born and raised in Germany, where she taught kindergarten. After moving to the United States, She worked with children with special needs for more than ten years. Then in 2011 she was introduced to the DIR Floortime approach. The DIR Floortime philosophy/method really spoke to her. So soon after she started taking Floortime classes.

The objectives of the DIR Floortime model are to build healthy foundations for social, emotional and intellectual capacities, rather than focusing on skills and  isolated behaviors.

Roswitha loves that the DIR Floortime approach focuses on the child-parent (or caregiver) relationship as the heart of learning and development.


Working with children and their families using the Floortime method and seeing their response has been very rewarding.
