Foundations: Parent Classes by age
Confident Parenting starts with understanding development
Why Foundations?
The first year is full of change—for babies and their parents. Our Foundations class series is here to help you understand what’s typical, what’s not, and what you can do to support your child’s growth. Each session is led by licensed pediatric therapists and designed to give you confidence through education, support, and connection.
Class Breakdowns
-
0 - 3 Months
Tummy time, visual engagement, and connecting with your baby
In this session, we’ll explore how to build strong movement patterns from day one through tummy time and positioning. You’ll learn how your baby begins to see and respond to the world around them and discover simple, meaningful ways to connect and bond through everyday routines.
-
4 - 7 Months
Rolling, sitting, crawling, and tastes
This stage is all about transitions and emerging mobility. We’ll guide you through how to support your baby’s rolling, sitting, and early crawling in ways that promote healthy posture and core strength. You’ll also learn how to recognize feeding readiness and get expert guidance on introducing solids with confidence.
-
8 - 12 Months
Pulling to stand, walking, and early independence
As your baby becomes more mobile and curious, we’ll help you support early standing and walking through purposeful play and movement. We’ll also focus on how to encourage balance, coordination, and independence while keeping your baby safe and engaged in their environment.
-
Sensory + Feeding
Understanding how sensory development impacts feeding
This class is designed to help parents make sense of the many sensory factors that affect how babies and toddlers eat. We’ll explore how texture, smell, sight, and even sound can influence your child’s interest in food and willingness to try new things. You’ll learn practical strategies to support mealtime without pressure, understand signs of feeding difficulties, and leave with tools to make eating a more positive, connected experience.
