How it works
Evidence-informed. Fully individualized.
TTC's intensive therapy programs are built on research-backed models from leading children's hospitals and rehabilitation centers — not a fixed protocol, but an evidence-informed framework that is adapted to each patient's specific diagnosis, goals, history, and schedule.
Intensive therapy uses high-frequency sessions — more contact time over a concentrated period — to drive neuroplasticity, skill acquisition, and functional gains at a rate that weekly therapy cannot match.
Programs may involve OT only, SLP only, or combined OT and SLP depending on clinical need. Home programming and carryover strategies are built into every intensive plan.

Common questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a referral for intensive therapy?
A physician referral is required for speech-language therapy services. Occupational therapy does not require a referral. New patients begin with an evaluation, after which an intensive plan can be recommended and scheduled. If you need help obtaining a referral for SLP services, we can help guide you through that process.
How is intensive therapy scheduled?
TTC accommodates approximately one intensive per week depending on patient load and therapist availability. Contact us to discuss your timing, goals, and scheduling needs — we will do our best to find a plan that works.
Is intensive therapy available for both children and adults?
Yes. TTC provides intensive therapy across the lifespan — for children and teens with complex developmental or neurologic needs and adults with FND, stroke, Parkinson's, TBI, and other conditions.
Can intensive therapy be combined with OT and SLP?
Yes. Intensive programs at TTC can involve OT only, SLP only, or combined OT and SLP depending on your clinical needs. Combined intensives are planned collaboratively across both disciplines.
More progress. Less time. A plan built around you.
If weekly therapy hasn't created the progress you need — or if you need concentrated care within a specific window of time — intensive therapy at TTC may be the right next step.
