Meredith Norwood, OTD, OTR/L is the founder of The Therapy Collaborative. She is an occupational therapist with advanced clinical training in pediatrics and a research-informed approach to care. Meredith completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at Saint Louis University and earned her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (OTD) from The George Washington University, where she also serves as an adjunct instructor. She has worked in children’s hospitals including Marshfield Children’s Hospital and Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, where she developed a special interest in chronic pain and Functional Neurological Disorder (FND).
In 2022, Meredith became a postdoctoral research fellow at The George Washington University and partnered with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement a clinical care guideline to support equitable diagnosis and treatment for pediatric FND. Today, she brings that combined clinical and research experience back to central Illinois—supporting families locally and through virtual services, with care that is thoughtful, individualized, and built to translate into daily life.
