The transition home after a NICU stay can feel both joyful and overwhelming. Every baby’s story is unique, and many parents wonder what to expect or when to seek extra help.
At The Therapy Collaborative, we work with families to monitor development, support early skills, and identify areas where your baby may need additional care. Our therapists are trained in performing standardized developmental and neurological assessments (including the HINE) to ensure every child receives precise, evidence-based care.

Our NICU follow-up services include:
Developmental and neurological assessments (including the Hammersmith Infant Neurological Examination – HINE)
Feeding and swallowing evaluations for oral-motor coordination and safety
Early sensory and regulation support to help infants adapt and engage
Motor development and tone assessments for posture, reflexes, and coordination
Parent coaching and education for positioning, tummy time, and early play
Collaborative care planning with pediatricians, specialists, and early intervention programs
